I've gotten a lot more made since the last update, and hopefully soon I'll be showing some of the new mechanics off! Definitely recommended to keep these guys locked since they like to slip behind you and try to attack after they evade. I decided to try fighting one without using the lock-on, and then fighting another with the lock-on to see the differences. These creatures are more opportunistic and focus on evasion. I want all the boss fights to be very big events! The second phase is going to be a more dynamic one-on-one fight. The little guys are the bigger threat here I think. Up until now I've always used unoptimized versions of my models in my games and actually drew the normal maps myself in Gimp.īut recently I found a plugin for Blender called Retopoflow that has made the retopology process painless. They provide a bit more variety to scenes when we're fighting, so they are a welcome addition when comparing to the same 3 static poses we could be using.
